History:When Kory was born she was immediately thought a disgrace to the proud, cruel Kedavra family. They didn't want a girl. For seven years of her life she lived miserably under her parents' cruelty.
On her eighth birthday she woke up not in the decrepit house where she had been in mere hours ago. But she was in an orphanage (though not the same one as her brother), staring up at the pale, white ceiling. Strangely, she had no memory of the Kedavra's. Not her parents, nor her brother. She didn't even recall her own name.
She had woken up with a sharp jolt of pain in her arm, and looked to see that it was bandaged tightly. There were other injuries as well. Confused, but not sure why, Kory had simply lay there, having not the vaguest idea what could have happened. For three years she lived with no memory of her past beyond her eighth birthday. Indeed, someone must have modified her memory. The people at the orphanage told her that her name was Kory Eldredge, and the name stuck. Kory had just appeared, nearly on the brink of death at the doorstep of the orphanage and they had taken her in.
But after this she lived quite contentedly at the orphanage, making friends and living what she assumed to be a normal life. Until her eleventh birthday, when the letter came.
The people at the orphanage had no idea what to think of this letter. They knew that when Kory had got angry, strange things happened, and were starting to get frightened.
So Kory went to Hogwarts, and for five years lived there happily, and was one of the Headmaster's favorite students. And just when she was thinking nothing could get any better, her sixteenth birthday came, along with anotherdrastic change.
She was summoned by the headmaster, who Kory was stunned to find out, was dying. Weak and frail, he told her that there was a prophecy concerning her, and that she was to be the headmistress of Hogwarts. But why? He also told her that there was a great evil rising, greater than Voldemort himself, who had died long ago. The headmaster had died before he could tell her anymore, and the mystery was left unsolved. Surprisingly, the ministry accepted his wishes, and Kory was left with no choice.
But at sixteen? This was unheard of. Many complained and threatened to take their children out of the school, but the ministry assured them that she would not truly be the one heading Hogwarts, but many responsible adults and professors would actually do the job. Nevertheless, Kory was headmistress, and she had no clue why.
Little did Kory know that the Leader of the Deatheaters resided in the school, and most definitely not her own brother, whom she didn't even know she had. Often Kory wondered why she couldn't remember even vague memories before her eighth year.
Kory is trying to keep up with so much, while attempting to live a semi-normal life at Hogwarts. She knows some dark leader is rising, and they need to somehow stop this threat. But how?
