It wasn't an everyday thing when Pandora was out but tonight was different. Yeah that was right it was night time out. She couldn't come out during the day or she would basically. Yeah. Stepping out of the castle she turned to look from her left then to her right. It was dead silence which only meant that she really didn't have to yell at anybody for being out on the grounds late at night.
Proceeding she started to take a couple steps and soon found herself a little away from the lake. Smirking to herself she looked up at the stars. They seemed to be sparkling but tonight just was so different from all the other nights. Tucking her hands into her pockets her thoughts began to wonder which she didn't mind at all.
Leaning against a tree she looked so relax and almost the opposite of the way she usually was. Smiling and letting her sharp teeth show for a moment she stared up at the moon. Suddenly a thought popped into her head about Dixie. Where had she been? Well she was the older one and so she would be able to take care of herself. Turning her head to the one side she heard footsteps coming closer.

Kory didn't even notice Pandora, and she walked right past her. She stopped at the edge of the lake, shoving her hands in her pockets. Her hands were cold despite the warm weather. She sighed and gazed out into the lake. There hadn't been many muggle killings lately. That was good. She hadn't heard any news of the Dark Lord at all. Which...could be good.
"I can't believe I'm part of a prophecy," She muttered, and then inhaled a deep breath. She had gotten into a habit of talking to herself, since a lot of the day she wasn't around people, was just in her office. Kory heard a howl from the other side of the lake and hastily looked up to the star scattered sky. It wasn't a full moon. She looked back at the lake, still not noticing Pandora.

Luckily when Pandora saw who was up ahead a sly smirk appeared. Just what she needed was a little talk with the Headmistress. Pushing herself off the tree she took one step towards Kory but suddenly stopped. Prophecy? What is that Pan questioned herself. Curiosity had taken her over full time now.
Walking slowly over to Kory she stood right next to her and said ," Good day. I couldn't help but hear that your apart of the Prophecy? Well .. I have no idea what that is. So Kory if you would like to inform please do."
Pandora just seemed to be one of those few people that could anybody to admit anything. Why? Maybe because she half of the time manipulated people telling them one thing from actually doing the opposite. With a small smirk she waited to see how Kory would respond.

Kory, surprised at Pandora's sudden appearance, flinched. "Don't you mean 'Good Evening?' it's been a long time since day, Pan," She said, smiling slightly. Pandora was an off and on friend of hers. Most of the time they got along fairly well, but there were other times. "Prophecy?" Kory asked coolly, though she mentally cursed herself for her foolishness. "Prophecy...I'm writing a story...and it involves me being placed in the center of some prophecy," Kory said convincingly, though it was a lame and not quite believable excuse.
One thing that Kory didn't like about Pandora, was that it was inconceivably hard to lie to her. She didn't know why, but it was quite unnerving. Kory stared back out at the lake, avoiding looking at her for fear she might detect the lie in her eyes.

"Evening day. Same thing different word ," Pandora said with a small laugh at the end. She chose her words that only made sense to her and not anybody else. Letting another sigh escape Pandora watched Kory carefully.
"Kory. How long have I been knowing you? Maybe for a short amount of time. But the least you can do is if you are trying to lie make eye contact no matter what. Who cares. But see.. Now I can see your lying. You don't have to tell me the truth ," She added honestly for once in her life. She was pure Slytherin through and through and basically she was just helping Kory out with somethings that could help her.
Shifting her weight to her left leg she continued ," Why don't we change the topic so you don't have to feel so.. uncomfortable I should say. What have you been doing?" Easiest way to change the subject.

"Hey, I'm the Headmistress, and two years older than you, I think I'd know if day and evening were really the same, foolish fourth year," Kory said, letting her smile spread into a grin. "And I'm not lying," She said, turning and staring at Pandora with renewed confidence. She wasn't to tell anyone of the prophecy, and now she had failed her duties. She just hoped that Pandora was gullible enough to believe Kory. "I have been doing headmistressly duties, as usual, what about yourself? By the way, have you seen Dixie lately?" Kory was worried about her friends all the time lately, and if she hadn't seen any of them in a while, she automatically feared that they had been the next murder victim of the Dark Lord's or his followers. The prophecy did say...no, she wouldn't let her mind wander off again.
Kory took her hands out of her pockets, but her hands were still icy cold. Strange. She rubbed her hands together, trying to get the blood flowing in her fingers again.

Pandora was getting ready to snap something but yet she somewhat knew that Kory was only joking. Holding it in she shook her head and said ," I've been just walking around. Scaring the heck out of the younger kids like always. And no. Last time I saw Dixie she was with Corbin and then she quickly left when I came. I don't know."
Pan wasn't silly. She knew what was going on between Dixie and Corbin. Dixie was falling for him. Pushing such thoughts out of her mind she thought about Xanthos for awhile. Oh how much she missed him. But she couldn't let that show. Standing like she was before and not letting any emotions show she added ," She probably went back home or something. Last thing I heard our little sister was in the hospital. Poor girl worshiped the ground Dixie walked on. But she should be around shortly. What are you doing out here?"

Kory raised an eyebrow when Pandora made the remark of scaring younger kids. She couldn't stand people being truly scared or hurt. Kory was definitely a Gryffie... Despite Pandora hiding her emotions, Kory could detect something in the short silence that followed. She wasn't quite sure what though, so dismissed it. At Pan's last few statements Kory's eyes softened. She only hoped Dixie was alright.
"I couldn't get to sleep. Bad headache," Kory said with a shrug, and decided to return the question. "And you?"

"Decided to see if there were any squirts walking around. Plus this is the only time I can come outside without killing myself ," Pandora said slightly as a joke but it was the truth. Pointing to her teeth she nodded and then looked down at the ground. Kicking a pebble that went right into the lake she let out a deep breath.
Seemed this school was getting less and less people. Less Death Eaters. But it was perfectly fine. Soon kids would be pouring in and Pan herself would have to help take control of Kory was busy. " It seems a lot of people get that around here though. Not being able to sleep I mean ," Pan suddenly said .

Kory stared at Pan as she showed her her teeth. She'd almost forgotten. Of course she was a vampire. "What's it like being a vampire? Some people hate you for it, don't they?" She asked curiously, but trying not to prod too hard.
She sat down cross-legged, running her hand through the water. "Why don't you join the Order, Pan?" She questioned. She'd always wondered why her and Dixie hadn't, but maybe she'd asked the wrong person. Oh well. She was curious. Kory was often too curious for her own good.

"Of coarse some people hate me for it. I mean I do have to kill people to live. And of coarse like you for instance probably don't appreciate it to greatly. But I didn't ask to be a vampire. It wasn't my fault ," Pandora explained. She also got a bit soft on the subject.
Sitting down next to Kory Pandora looked away right when she heard what she said. "Well.. I don't know.. my family doesn't want us taking sides or anything." Looking right back at Kory straight in the eyes to prove she wasn't lying even though she was she smirked and said ," But maybe some year I will. I'm not sure." I join the order I'm basically going against Xanthos. Not going happen.

"I know it's not your fault," Kory said reassuredly, giving her a side-armed hug. "It was a stupid question to ask, I'm sorry," She said, staring at her reflection in the lake.
"I guess that makes sense. But whatever you do, please don't join the Death Eaters. Guess you already know that... Gosh, all that's come out of my mouth today has been stupid," Kory sighed, frustrated with her carelessness. Sleepiness suddenly sweeped over her, and she felt like she could fall asleep in an instant. Shifting positions so as to keep herself awake, she blinked a few times and finally looked back at Pandora.

"Don't worry about it Kory. Your tired. Unlike me I guess you can say a bit nocturnal at times. But that's only during the weekend ," Pandora explained. Looking back at Kory she just smirked and nodded.
"You can fall asleep you know. The worst thing that could happen is Dixie is here and is in her form but even then it won't be possible because it isn't a full moon. She likes teasing me like that when it is though. Thinks she scares me ," Pandora added as she rolled her eyes. Putting both of her hands on the ground behind her and leaning back a bit she took in the fresh air and a smile a real smile appeared.

Kory smiled as well. She leaned back against a nearby tree, letting her eyes close. "I was nearly bit by a werewolf once. I'm not sure how that would have worked, me being an animagus and all," She said contemplatively. She had to say something or she would surely fall asleep, and despite how tired she was, she didn't want to.
Sitting there quietly, Kory didn't seem like the kind of person who would be in the center of a prophecy, a prophecy that could save the whole wizarding world, and really the muggle world as well. She seemed too vulnerable. Too gentle. Then again, the prophecy didn't guarantee that Kory would succeed.
Kory opened her eyes again, now looking up at the stars. "Want to play some muggle sport in the gym tomorrow? I've got a glorious half hour of free time, I think," She really valued spending time with her friends, since they were all she had. Of course she had no idea whatsoever that Xanthos was her brother.
