Kory simply watched as Dixie snapped at the first years, neither defending them nor agreeing with her friend. She really had to be careful being headmistress. What she once would say might not be 'acceptable' anymore. Kory saw a very brief look of shock come over Dixie's face. Confused, she looked behind her, wondering if Dixe had seen something that had made her look surprised. But she saw nothing. Shrugging, she looked back at Dixie. "You okay?" She asked. Kory nearly caught every emotion that her friends portrayed.

"Never better ," Dixie said with a worry smile. Biting on her lip she knew somehow Kory would find out soon all about Dixie and also about Pandora. Tapping her foot she said ," Anyway. Let's talk about something else. You know I've been writing this new song. I forget it though."

Laughing for a moment she said ," I have it in this one notebook I keep. Pandabear read it and she said it was great. I'm not sure."

Kory noticed the worried smile. One had to be very cautious for something like that to slip past her. She stared at her friend a moment, looking her in the eyes. "Well, whatever it is, you can talk to me about it whenever, okay? I don't care if the whole ministry comes after me with a stick because I'm neglecting my duties," She said, smiling faintly. "A new song? I want to hear it...does it have a name?" Kory asked, interested.

Dixie let out a small laugh and the worriedness went away. Shrugging she said ," Well .. okay. But it's nothing really. I saw the Pandora the other day and we were just talking about our past. Me and her somehow seemed to be worried about it though. Not because of us , but because of our younger brother and sister."

Biting down on her lip she looked at Kory and said ," Actually. I think or thought one of them were suppose to be a first year here. I don't know."

Past. The past was a touchy subject for Kory. She hadn't told even Dixie what was so strange about it, or what had happened at the orphanage."You're worried about how your past...concerns your...younger siblings?" Kory asked, a little confused.

Nodding she said ," Some things are left unsaid. And this is one of these things. Let's just say the past is why me , Pandora , and all the rest of my sisters don't trust easily. We are wary of so many people."

Biting down on her lip she was happy that atleast Kory had her totally trust. Looking at Kory she said ," But don't worry. I totally trust you. I don't know about Pandora."

Kory nodded, halfway understanding. Indeed, some things were better off unsaid. And she could understand if she didn't want to reveal her past. Whatever it was. Kory smiled slightly. "Well, I totally trust you too. And yeah..Pandora's not very...trustable," Kory said, looking off into the distance. A couple of students seemed to be fighting. Rather, a few of them seemed to be beating up one. "I guess I should go over there and break it up," Kory said, looking over Dixie's shoulder at the other students.

Turning around she said ," No don't worry about it. Just watch and learn. And I won't hurt them , I promise." Giving Kory a smile she walked over to the kids. Grabbing the one by his robe she held him back. Hitting the other one of the over the head she said in a dangerous tone ," All of you little monsters better scram. Or I will use my wand on yous." Pulling her wand out she pointed it at the kids that were picking on the other one.

Letting the one go she put her hands on her hips and said ," NOW!." They all ran off. Turning back around she smiled at Kory agian and said ," See. I would make such a good admin." Rolling her eyes she said ," want to walk?"

Kory watched as her friend dealt with the small group and smiled when she finished. "I applaude you. Yes, would you like to be headmistress in my place?" Kory said, pretending to applaude lightly. She looked at the Hufflepuff firstie who had been knocked on the ground by the others. "Hey, you okay?" Kory asked, concerned. She held out a hand and he grabbed it. She helped pull him up as he nodded slowly. "Don't let them do that to you," Kory said to him, before turning back to Dixie. "Yeah, sure," She said, beginning to walk at a moderate pace.

Shakign her head Dixie said ," Sorry hun. I don't think I could handle being so .. nice to be people. I mean that Huffie that you helped. I would let him lay on the ground. They just don't understand how to toughen up."

Dixie kept up with Kory's pace. Smiling as she did she said ," Being headmistress really has you all tied up doesn't it?"

"He only came here a couple days ago, that Huffie," Kory said defensively. And then looked at the ground as Dixie asked the next question. "I'm falling apart," She muttered truthfully. "And I have a feeling it's just going to get worse. Death Eaters are around. Probably in plain view too, and I just don't notice..."

Dixie glared at Kory when she stood up for the Huffie. " He should still know how to stick up for himself. It's pathetic really ," Dixie snapped back. Shaking her head she couldn't believe Kory was upset about the Death Eaters. Of coarse being apart of them she didn't know what to say.

Putting a hand on her friends shoulder she said calmly ," Don't worry Kory. You have plenty of people that want to help you get away these Death Eaters. You just have to be prepared.

"Whatever. You know I was the same way when I came to Hogwarts at first. Timid and afraid to fight back," Kory said, a kind of bitterness in her voice. The two close friends could get in pointless arguments so easily. "Yeah well...I hope you're prepared. To fight Death Eaters I mean. Next thing you know they'll probably start attacking from the inside. Attacking the students. I hope not..." Kory said wearily, still looking down at her shoes.

" I don't think they will do that. We just all have to be prepared ," Dixie said. A small smile appeared as she thought to herself I hope we don't do that. But who knows. Looking up at the sky for a moment as a gust of wind blew past them she sighed.

Running her hands through her hair she said ," Didn't you say you want to read my song?"

"Prepared. Yeah," Kory said softly. It was hard trying to prepare for something she didn't even know would come or not, or when it would. Were there any Death Eaters in the school, or were they elsewhere? Well, she'd just have to find out. Somehow. "Yeah I want to see it!" Kory exclaimed, finally looking up from the ground and back at Dixie. "
