Slowly Dixie walked through a whole big patch of flowers. She was trying to find atleast one rose. But knew it was very unlikely. Not caring she sighed and placed her hands into her pockets.
Things were so different now. It was as if Dixie only had time for important things and never time for herself. But now she wanted to meet with a close friend. She had sent her owl Salem who knew Kory very well to give her a letter telling her to meet her down in the Flowerbed.
As she waited a small smile appeared as she found a rose bush. Hurrying over she picked one rose. Even though it pricked her a bit because of it's thorns she didn't mind to much.

Kory entered the garden, stepping amongst the flowers, being careful not to tread on them. In her hand she held the note from Dixie, and she folded it a few times, putting it into her pocket. She looked up, eyes roving around the flowerbed until she spotted her friend. Kory walked a little faster until she finally got to where Dixie was standing. She seemed to be examining a rose, not exactly noticing Kory. "Boo," Kory said loudly, smirking. If Dixie was in some sort of daze, that would have snapped her out of it.

Dixie jumped a bit since she was just a bit into looking at the rose to much. Turning around she smiled at Kory and said ," You could have gave me a heart attack. And then I would have died. Then this school would be nothing."
Letting out a small laugh she knew things would get a bit interesting. Between thier little meeting at the library and just being friends before all of this. Dixie could tell this year was gunna get interesting. But not worrying about that now she said ," So Headmistress. That sounds so wierd. Anyway .. I think our little meeting in the Library was interesting."

Kory pretended to be ashamed. "I'm sorry, I should have known better," She said, bowing to her teasingly. She turned a bit more serious then, as a Gryffindor first year looked at her like she was insane. "Don't call me Headmistress. Please," Kory pleaded quietly. "I hate it. And yes I agree, the...incidence in the library was quite interesting," She said contemplatively. She wanted to ask why Dixie wanted to keep their friendship secret, but restrained herself for the gajillionth time.
"You seem to be hanging around Corbin a lot," Kory said, raising an eyebrow and almost laughing. "Xanthos too though," She added. "I don't know why...but I don't really trust him...do you?" She questioned.

Dixie's face suddenly got serious when she mentioned Corbin's name. Shrugging she said ," Fine I won't call you that. Only because I'm just that nice. To you." Biting on her lip for a moment she looked at Kory and said ," I don't trust Xanthos one bit. Pandora would kill me if she found out but whatever. And then Corbin , I don't know."
Rolling her eyes she said ," I guess .. nevermind. But yeah I just have nobody else better to hangout with. But both of them .. I'm a bit wary about. And sorry about how Pandora was acting. She is a bit of a snappy person."

"Right. Thanks for being that nice. To me," Kory said, smiling. "Yeah...about Xanthos...it seems like I should..." Kory said, drifting off, leaving the sentence unfinished.
"Hey, who am I supposed to be? Someone to mildly entertain you? You can hang out with me too, ya know," Kory said, pushing Dixie a litte teasingly. "Though it has been sort of hard finding time to do anything...uh...unheadmistressly," Kory said, laughing a little at the last word she'd said. "It's okay, Pandora's pretty much always been that way, right?" Kory said.

Dixie laughed a bit and stumbled back but not to much. Pouting she said ," Don't you remember how my balence is bad, But yeah she has always been that way ever since when we were little kids. Atleast 5 years old is when she turned."
Shrugging once more she said ," It's wierd though. We finish eachother's sentances and everything. I still don't understand how she got prefect. I mean I know she is very detemined , hard worker and everything. But she is just so.. I guess mean."

"Yeah well, you didn't fall did you?" Kory asked, grinning. She liked to finally be able to talk to a close friend of hers. It seemed like forever since she had been able to talk to someone so casually like this. The ministry of magic tolerated very little other than complete seriousness and attention. "Oh uh...I think I'm guilty of that," Kory said, looking a little embarrassed. "Yeah, I made her prefect. But people were pressing me to make decisions and I hadn't slept for three days. So. Yeah," She said.

"You lucky I didn't fall. You would have been going down with me ," Dixie said with a small smile. Looking around for a moment she looked back at Kory and said ," Well. I don't blame you for making her prefect. I mean they are just suppose to show the icky firsties around. But Pandora would rather try out a curse on them."
Letting out a small laugh she said ," I don't think she is that cruel. But I know the one year. I think last year. Wow , it was funny. She told this firstie how not to go into the one place because they would be eaten alive. They actually ran away from us crying. So gullable. But she is a good person to pick for the job. If you don't catch her on a bad day."

"Hey I can't call 'em icky firsties anymore. I'm headmistress remember? I've got to treat all students with the same love and respect. That's what the minister of magic said," Kory said, rolling her eyes and pushing Dixie again. "Well, noone said I can't push you around," She said. Kory leaned down, glimpsing an interesting looking flower. Tentatively, Kory slowly moved her finger towards it. Suddenly the bud opened up and snapped at her finger. It eerily had fangs. Kory snapped her finger back. "Thought it'd do something like that," She muttered, standing back up and taking a step back from the flower just in case. "Anyways..."

Dixie stumbled back once more. But laughing as she saw the flower basically snap at Kory she shrugged and said ," Sorry hun. But didn't you also decide to be Headmistress. Now you have to show love and respect to everbody. That's funny. I get to keep my ways .. somwhat."
Looking back at the flower Dixie growled at it for a moment. Rolling her eyes she looked back at Kory and said ," So. Anything else interesting happening around this place?"

"Actually..." Kory started, wondering if she could trust her best friend. Actually she hadn't willingly become Headmistress. It was all related to some prophecy Kory hadn't even heard entirely. She dropped the subject, and looked at Dixie. "Of course there are happenings. Things I can't talk to you insolent little children about," Kory said, though smirking to let Dixie know she was kidding. Indeed, there had been goings on. There had been a few muggles seemed to have been killed by 'a strange green light' as reported in a local newspaper. Kory knew it must be the Death Eaters, and though she didn't know their exact intent, she knew she had to try to stop them. If only she knew how.

" Oh .. yeah.. I've just been getting annoyed with Corbin. Nothing new with that though ," Dixie stated. Looking at a flower behind her she remembered hearing about Pan going to New York for some 'business' type thing. Rolling her eyes at the thought she looked back at Kory and said ," I think things around here. Will get interesting indeed."

"Interesting? Why do you say that?" Kory asked curiously. Did Dixie know something about the muggle killings perhaps? Or of the Death Eaters? Of something? Kory watched as a group of first years passed them, conversing and giggling happily.

Glaring at the firsties that were walking by she rolled her eyes. As the one looked back at Dixie , she sneered at them and then said ," Go somewhere else. Can't you see we are having a conversation." The group of firsties went walking faster.
Smiling she thought to herself I wonder what she would think if I told her . 1. I'm a werewolf. 2. I'm a deatheater. Wait.. I can't tell her that .. she might kill me. A shocked look came on Dixie's face but covering it up quickly she said ," I don't know. Sort of like a gut feeling."
